Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Secretary of Executive Office of Environmental Affairs and its
respective departments within the agency shall conduct and investigate a study to review the cumulative impacts on local water reserves caused by recent and future growth and development in the region. Such a study will review the policies and mandates of the Water Management Act, the Interbasin Transfer Act and other related water supply statues. The study will make recommendations on methods to work in conjunction with the regional planning agencies and local water and planning departments to address water supplies and demands.
