In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

AN ACT providing certain exemptions from continuing education requirements for insurance agents based on age and years of licensing

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.Subsection (I) of section 177E of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following clause:- 

(4)  Persons holding a license for fifteen (15) years and who are age (62) at the time of renewal.

SECTION 2.  The Division of Insurance shall exempt agents who have been licensed for 15 years or more and who have attained 62 years of age beginning January 1, 2000.
