AN ACT prohibiting the acceptance by a bank of foreign documents as a means of identification

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 1A of chapter 167 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition,  is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following paragraph:-

The regulations shall include a prohibition of the acceptance by a bank of a foreign government issued document other than a passport, except Canadian drivers’ licenses which may be accepted, as a means of identification of a person.
