AN ACT relative to preventing discrimination against certain health care providers

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 15(i) of chapter 176O of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, shall be amended by inserting the following sentence at the end thereof:-

“If any carrier, including a dental or vision carrier, offers health care, dental care, or vision care benefits, said carrier shall contract with health care professionals, dental professionals and vision care professionals in a manner which will provide an equal proportion of representation of each duly licensed provider type regardless of geographic location.”
