In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

AN ACT relative to the university of massachusetts

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 75 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 1A the following section: --

            Section  1B.  No merger or contract with or acquisition of any institution of higher learning or any department thereof by the board of trustees shall become effective or have force until it shall be approved by being enacted into law by the general court and the governor.
