In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

AN ACT relative to the development of a Northeastern Massachusetts Nursing Institute

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Board of Higher Education shall study the feasibility of developing a Northeastern Massachusetts Nursing Institute, through the collaboration of Salem State College, Northern Essex Community College, North Shore Community College, Middlesex Community College and hospitals and other health providers in the area of northeastern Massachusetts, for the purpose of developing and sharing resources for nursing education, recruitment and retention in the commonwealth.
