Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 21 of chapter 40B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
An applicant granted a comprehensive permit or approval under this section and receiving a subsidy from the commonwealth shall dedicate 100 per cent of the housing units constructed under the permit to affordable housing as defined in section 2 of chapter 40H and the units shall be included in the affordable housing count of the city or town where the units are located.
