AN ACT relative to sex offender classification

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section 178K of chapter 6 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 20 of chapter 77 of the Acts of 2003, is hereby further amended by inserting the in the fourth paragraph after the words “dangerousness posed to the public” the following words:-

“, however if the offender is convicted for a crime against a minor the offender shall receive a mandatory minimum of a level three classification”
