AN ACT relative to the commisssion on judicial conduct

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 211C, section 8 of the General Laws, as it appears in the 2004 Official version, is hereby amended by striking out in line 7 the word “or”.

SECTION 2. Chapter 211C, section 8 of the General Laws, as it appears in the 2004 Official version, is hereby amended by striking out in line 8 subsection (1)(d) in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following new language:-

(d)   imposing with the judge’s consent any of the following condition on the performance of judicial duties: public or private reprimand or censure; imposition of a fine; suspension not to exceed one year; or

(e)    persuading a judge to retire voluntarily
