Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 265 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section:-
SECTION 45. Whoever threatens, commits an assault or an assault and battery upon, or whoever stalks a justice of the Trial Court, Appeals court, Supreme Judicial Court or the Department of the Industrial Accidents Board shall be punished by imprisonment in a jail or house of correction for not less than ninety days nor more than two and one-half years or by a fine of not less than one thousand dollars nor more than ten thousand dollars or both.
