Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 38R of Chapter 71 of the General Laws as appearing in the most recent edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following new paragraph:
Further said school committee, superintendent or principal must seek cooperation from any individual described here in as having direct and unmonitored contact with children, that said school committee, superintendent or principal has reasonable belief has a background in another jurisdiction, for the purpose of receiving record information from the other jurisdiction. If the School official believes the individual came from another state, they shall with the cooperation of that individual seek criminal history record information from the other state provided the laws of that state allow such access with the individuals cooperation.
