AN ACT relative to the rights of municipalities abutting sites of proposed solid waste facilities

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 150A of chapter 111 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting at the end of the fifth paragraph the following –

            or in the case of a site located within one half mile of another city or town, such place has been assigned by the board of health of the city or town where the site would be located and by the board of health of an abutting city or town following a joint public hearing of said boards of health in accordance with the provisions of this section.
