AN ACT relating to the regualtion of roadwork details in towns lacking 24 hour per day police department coverage

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 2B of chapter 85 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting after the word “offense.” in line 23 the following new sentence:- 

“The department for purposes of promoting public safety in towns with police departments that have less than 24 hour per day police coverage with full-time officers shall have the power to determine who may or must be used for paid roadwork details.”
