Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding clause (VI) of paragraph (2) (a) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, Diane Huster, an elected member of the town of North Andover school committee from 1984 to 2002, may apply for membership to the Essex Regional Retirement System within 90 days after the effective date of this act.
