AN ACT concerning retirement rights of medical examiners

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section three of chapter thirty-two of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is amended in subsection 2 (g) Group 4 in line 307 by deleting the period at the end of the sentence and adding:

 State medical Examiner, Chief Medical Examiner, Assistant Chief Medical Examiner, Associate Chief Medical Examiner, State/ Forensic Pathologists, but the State Medical Examiner, Chief Medical Examiner, Associate Chief Medical Examiner, State/ Forensic Pathologists shall have served or will be required to serve for a period of ten (10) years in one or more of these positions before becoming eligible for benefits under this section.
