Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Whereas, The
deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is
forthwith to restore the provisions regarding the Massachusetts Water Resources
Authority Employees’ Retirement System, other than those concerning the
composition of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Retirement Board and
as consistent with the purpose of chapter 273 of the acts of 2006, therefore it
is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public convenience.
SECTION 1. Chapter 273 of the acts of 2006 is hereby amended by striking out Section 2.
Section 2. Section 7 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984 is hereby amended by reinserting subsection (d), as it read August 13, 2006, provided however, that the third through seventh sentences shall be stricken from said subsection.
