AN ACT relative to sick bank leave for state employees

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, any public employee who has exhausted all accrued vacation, sick, personal or other paid leave and is a participant of a sick back established by law, rule or regulation shall be allowed to access paid sick leave from their respective sick bank for the purpose of taking said leave to provide care for any immediate family member who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
