In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

AN ACT regarding employees of the Department of Correction.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special laws to the contrary, employees of the Commonwealth who hold the position of Captain in the Department of Correction on January 1, 2001 shall be deemed to be permanent under civil service rules in said position.
