In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.


AN ACT authorizing and directing the State Retirement Board to grant creditable service to Thomas J. Donovan, an employee of the Commonwealth.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general law or special law to the contrary, the state retirement board is hereby authorized and directed to provide Thomas Jeremiah Donovan with creditable service for the period of time from December 14, 1984 to March 12, 1998 when he was employed as an 03 employee for the Commonwealth, for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance pursuant to provisions of Chapter 32 of the General Laws; provided however, that said Thomas Jeremiah Donovan shall pay into the annuity savings fund of the state retirement system, in installments or lump sum, as determined by the state retirement board, an amount equal to which would have been deducted from the regular compensation plus interest of said Thomas Jeremiah Donovan had he been a member in service during said period.

Section 2.         This act shall take effect upon its passage.
