AN ACT relative to options on retirement

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Subdivision 1 of section 12 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1998 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 21, the word "effective." and inserting in place thereof the following words:- effective, provided further, however, that a member retired for disability under the provisions of section six, section seven, or who is retired under the provisions of subdivision (2) of section twenty-six may change his election by making a new election if the member has delayed acceptance of his allowance.

SECTION 2. This Act shall apply to all members retired for disability on or after January 1, 1970.
