Pignatelli for legislation relative to the payments of
taxes by the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission to the
towns of Blandford, Granville and Russel. Revenue.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 19 of chapter 40N of the Massachusetts General Laws, in 2008 and every fourth year thereafter, the assessors for the town of Blandford, the town of Granville, and the town of Russell shall determine as of January first the fair cash value as hereinafter provided of all land owned by the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission located in said towns in the so called Cobble Mountain reservoir and watershed.
Said commission shall provide to each town a reimbursement for an amount in lieu of taxes upon the value of such land as reported by each town, determined by multiplying each thousand dollars of valuation or fractional part thereof by the rate provided for under section fifty-eight of chapter sixty-three of the Massachusetts General Laws.
Said reimbursement shall be issued to the towns by the commission no later than June first every year.
