AN ACT relative to the motor vehicle excise tax

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 1 of chapter 60A of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 260 of the acts of 2006, is hereby further amended by inserting at the end of the seventh paragraph the following sentence:- “The excise imposed by this section shall not apply to any motor vehicle or trailer valued at less than $1,000.”
