AN ACT waiving construction permit fees to promote accessibility

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Section 22F of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “board”, in line 11, the following words: - ; provided, however, that no person shall be charged a fee under this section for any construction, reconstruction, alteration or improvement designed and undertaken solely to promote accessibility by disabled persons to an existing public or private structure or any of the facilities contained therein.
