AN ACT relative to the installation of gas fixtures

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.   The Massachusetts department of telecommunications and energy shall conduct a review of the installation of gas fixtures in the Commonwealth, including, but not limited to the installation process, the parties authorized to install gas fixtures, approval of installation, certification of installation, the complaint process, complaints submitted relative to the installation of gas fixtures and accidents resulting from the installation of gas fixtures.  The department of telecommunications and energy shall submit a report of the review, including its findings and recommendations, to the senate and house committees on post audit and oversight and to the joint committee on telecommunications and energy by December 31, 2008.
