Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 6 of chapter 40C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
No building permit for construction of low or moderate income housing, as defined in section 20 of chapter 40B, within an historic district shall be issued by a city or town or any department of a city or town until the certificate required by this section has been issued by the commission.
