Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. By amending Section 7A of Chapter 90 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking after the word “however” in line 32 the following text “that for motor vehicles one model year old or less, the registrar may require that the initial inspection mandated by this paragraph be performed at the end of the first full year of registration” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “new motor vehicles until twenty-four (24) months after their date of purchase or twenty-four thousand (24,000) miles, which ever occurs first shall be exempt from the requirements of this paragraph”.
