for legislation creating tolls on the boarders of the
Commonwealth. Transportation.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4 of Chapter 81A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding in paragraph (e) at line 14 after the words “ as it may determine,” the following language:-
“ and those parts of interstate Route 93, interstate Route 95, interstate Route 91, interstate Route 395, interstate Route 295, Route 24, Route 3 and Route 7 where the authority must establish and maintain facilities in which to exercise its power to collect tolls pursuant to this act.”
SECTION 2. Section 4 of Chapter 81A is hereby amended by adding a new paragraph after paragraph (j) to read as follows:
“(-) To fix and revise from time to time and charge and collect tolls for transit over the following roadways: interstate Route 93 beginning at the Commonwealth’s border with New Hampshire; interstate Route 95 beginning at the Commonwealth’s borders with New Hampshire and Rhode Island; interstate Route 91 beginning at the Commonwealth’s borders with Connecticut and Vermont, interstate Route 395 beginning at the Commonwealth’s border with Connecticut; interstate Route 295 beginning at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island; Route, 24 beginning at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island; Route 3, beginning at the Commonwealth’s border with New Hampshire, Route 7 beginning at the Commonwealth’s borders with Connecticut and Vermont and Route 146 beginning at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island.
SECTION 3. Section 10 of Chapter 81A is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:
(c) The authority is hereby authorized to charge and collect, and from time to time fix and revise, tolls for transit over the following roadways: interstate Route 93 in the north at the Commonwealth’s border with New Hampshire; interstate Route 95 in the north at the Commonwealth’s border with New Hampshire and in the south at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island; interstate Route 91 in the north at the Commonwealth’s border with Vermont and in the south at the Commonwealth’s border with Connecticut, interstate Route 395 in the south at the Commonwealth’s border with Connecticut; interstate Route 295 at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island; Route, 24 in the south at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island; Route 3, in the north at the Commonwealth’s border with New Hampshire, Route 7 in the south at the Commonwealth’s border with Connecticut and in the north at the Commonwealth’s border with Vermont and Route 146 in the south at the Commonwealth’s border with Rhode Island, subject to such classifications of vehicles and manners of collection as the authority determines desirable and subject to provisions of clause ( ) of section 4.
