In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

AN ACT RELATIVE TO INTEREST RATES TO BE CHARGED UPON APPORTIONED BETTERMENT ASSESSMENTS IN THE TOWN OF WAREHAM

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary the Town of Wareham, with respect to betterment assessments for any or all projects assessed after the effective date of this act shall be required to assess interest on apportionments of such assessments at the same rate of interest charged to the town for bonds issued for each such project.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
