AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION OF A FINANCING FEE UPON THE TRANSFER OF OCCUPANCY OF ANY ROOM OR ROOMS IN ANY HOTEL, MOTEL, OR OTHER LODGING ESTABLISHMENT IN THE TOWN OF DEDHAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Town of Dedham may impose, in addition to the excises levied under Chapter 64G of the General Laws, a financing fee upon the transfer of occupancy of any room or rooms in any hotel, motel or other lodging establishment subject to such excises in the Town of Dedham by any operator at the rate of 2.0 per cent of the total amount for each such occupancy.
