AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS IN THE TOWN OF HATFIELD

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 171 of the acts of 1998 is hereby amended by striking out, in the fifth paragraph, the second sentence “He shall be a college graduate with an appropriate four year engineering degree.” and inserting in place thereof a new sentence:

“The Director shall be a college graduate with an appropriate four year engineering degree, or the Director shall have in the judgment of the board significant education or experience, or both, in engineering or in public works or in a related field.”
