AN ACT TO ALLOW CASH REDEMPTION OF CERTAIN GIFT CERTIFICATES

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 5D of chapter 200A of the General Laws , as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, after the word “value”, in line 15, the following words:- or if the face value of a gift certificate or the residual value after partial redemption is $10 or less.
