AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN PORTION OF SANDY BEACH IN WINCHESTER AS THE SENATOR CHARLES E. SHANNON, JR. MEMORIAL BEACH

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.   Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the section of Sandy Beach that is located along the Mystic Valley parkway in the town of Winchester shall be designated and known as the Senator Charles E. Shannon, Jr. Memorial Beach.  The department of conservation and recreation shall erect a suitable marker bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department and any existing historic preservation guidelines or statutes.
