AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR MARK STANTON, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of public health, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services shall establish a sick leave bank for Mark Stanton, an employee within the Department of Public Health.  Any employee of a department within the Department of Public Health may voluntarily contribute 1 or more of his sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Mark Stanton. Whenever Mark Stanton terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
