AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE USE OF CERTAIN LAND IN THE TOWN OF LEICESTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Town of Leicester is authorized to change the use of a portion of the Town owned property known as “Burncoat Park” located off of Town Beach Road, in the Town of Leicester, which portion is more fully described in the following section, from passive recreational use to active recreational use in accordance with the authority set forth in Article 97 as amended of the Constitution.
SECTION 2. The portion of the property hereby affected by the change in use is identified as follows: A 20 acre more or less parcel of land located in the Town of Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts. Said parcel is located west of the existing paved access road known as “Town Beach Road” and north of Burncoat Pond. All other contiguous land not contained in the above description shall remain dedicated to passive recreational use.
SECTION 3. This act shall become effective upon passage.
