AN ACT TO THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF THE MARBLEHEAD FIRE DEPARTMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Section 1 of chapter 216 of the acts of 1939 is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 14 and 15, the words “competitive civil service examination open only to citizens of said town” and inserting in place thereof the following words: - departmental civil service promotional examination.
