AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR GLORIA PHILLIPS, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of public heath, therefore it is hearby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general of special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of public health shall establish a sick leave bank for Gloria Phillips, an employee of the department.  Any employee of a department within the department of public health may voluntarily contribute 1 or more his sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Gloria Phillips.  Whenever Gloria Phillips terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave back, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
