AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF JAMES A. MCNAMARA AS A POLICE OFFICER IN THE TOWN OF LANCASTER NOTWITHSTANDING THE MAXIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.   Notwithstanding Chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment, James A. McNamara of the town of Leominster shall, if he meets all other requirements, be eligible for employment on a permanent basis in the regular police force in the town of Lancaster.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
