Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of environmental protection, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives in General Court assembled,
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule the contrary, the department of environmental protection shall establish a sick leave bank for Lealdon Langley, and employee of the department. Any employee of the department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Lealdon Langley. Whenever Lealdon Langley terminates employment with the department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
