Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
Said Chapter 6 is hereby amended by inserting after section 15QQQQ the following section:-
Section 15RRRR. The Governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of January as Stalking Awareness Month to increase the public’s awareness of the deadly and serious crime of stalking which affects both women and men in the commonwealth; and shall recommend that said month be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
