The second paragraph of section 3 of Chapter 23B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 official edition, is hereby amended by adding the following clause:-
(w) in order to provide current, accurate, and detailed information on the residents of the state's assisted housing, the department shall gather, compile, and distribute data regarding the resources for, and beneficiaries of, housing permitted, constructed, preserved, or otherwise financed with state assistance, including privately-owned housing with public subsidy, and also including federal funds administered by the state. The state may partner with appropriate data collection entities, such as university research centers, in the timely performance of these duties.
SECTION 2. The department shall promulgate regulations enacting the provisions of section 1 within 90 days of the passage of this act.
