AN ACT REFORMING THE EXEMPTION FROM CIVIL LIABILITY FOR PERFORMNG EMERGENCY CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 21 of Chapter 111C of the General Laws, as most recently appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words, “cardiopulmonary resuscitation,” and before the word, “transportation,” the following: or automatic device designed to increase myocardial perfusion during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

SECTION 2.  Section 12V of Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as most recently appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “automatic external defibrillators,” and before the words, “or any person,” the following: or automatic device designed to increase myocardial perfusion during cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
