AN ACT RELATIVE TO INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGES ALLOWED IN SMALL CLAIM ACTIONS

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.

Section 21 of Chapter 218 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 6 by striking the words "two thousand", and inserting in place thereof: "five thousand".
