Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
Notwithstanding section 5 of chapter 191B of the General Laws, a surviving spouse in arrears of an obligation to support a child of the spouse shall not share in the estate of a deceased spouse or former spouse or the estate of the child until the arrearage is paid or deducted from the share.
