AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICES OF THE COMMONWEALTH

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.

Chapter 12 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following new section:- 

“Section 13A. Acceptance of Gifts or Grants by the District Attorney. The office of a district attorney may accept gifts or grants of money or property, whether real or personal, from any source, whether public or private, including but not limited to the United States of America or its agencies, or any agency or authority of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, for the purpose of assisting the district attorney in the discharge of his duties.”
