Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 51A of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 38, the words “one thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “ten thousand dollars or by imprisonment in the house of correction by not more than 6 months, or both.”
SECTION 2. Section 51A of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 40, the words “one thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “ten thousand dollars.”
SECTION 3. Section 51A of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 59, the words “one thousand dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “ten thousand dollars or by imprisonment in the house of correction by not more than 6 months, or both.”
