Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 48 of Chapter 152 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking in their entirety the following words in lines 2-3:- “with the written consent of the employer if such employer if such employer is an experience modified insured,”
SECTION 2. Section 48 of Chapter 152 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by adding, after the words “lump sum amount.” in line 5-6, the following new language:- An employer has the right to appear and be heard if it his objection to the lump sum.
