AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING PENSIONS OF POLICE AND DISPATCHERS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.

Subsection (2) (g) of Section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1998 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words " signal maintenance repairmen," the following words: - "; employees of a municipal department who are employed as a civilian dispatcher or telecommunicator of fire and police or emergency medical services, and who holds certifications and/or training, as approved by the statewide emergency telecommunications board, including but not limited to: 40-hour basic telecommunicator, emergency medical dispatch, Enhanced 9-1-1, criminal justice information systems, and suicide prevention.”
