Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1.
The Charter of the City of Somerville shall be amended at Sec. 46A by deleting the first sentence and replacing it with the following:- “All contracts, made by any department, board or commission of the city, where the amount is five thousand dollars or more, shall be in writing, and no such contract shall be deemed to have been executed until the approval of the mayor, the procurement officer, and the department, board or commission making the contract has been affixed thereto.”
This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
