PAPERS FROM THE HOUSE.

A petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4049) of Paul K. Frost and Michael O. Moore (by vote of the town) relative to the charter in the town of Auburn,— was referred, in concurrence, to the committee on Municipalities and Regional Government.

Report of the committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse, asking to be discharged from further consideration of the petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 739) of James B. Eldridge and others for legislation relative to affordable housing community planning,— recommending that the same be referred to the committee on Housing,— was considered forthwith, under Senate Rule 36, and accepted, in concurrence.

Matter Taken Out of the Orders of the Day.

There being no objection, the following matter was taken out of the Orders of the Day and considered, as follows:

The House Bill authorizing the city of Beverly to issue additional liquor licenses to Joseph A. Leone, d/b/a The Black Cow Restaurant, and to the American BBQ LLC d/b/a the American BBQ (House, No. 3795),— was read a second time, ordered to a third reading, read a third time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence, its title having been changed by the committee on Bills in the Third Reading to read as follows: “An Act authorizing the city of Beverly to grant 2 additional licenses for the sale of certain alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises”.

PAPER FROM THE HOUSE.

A petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 4048) of Pam Richardson and others for legislation to establish a sick leave bank for Geraldine Egan, an employee of the Department of Public Health,— was referred, in concurrence, to the committee on Public Service.

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns today, it adjourn to meet again on Wednesday next at one o’clock P.M., in a full formal session.
