Met at six minutes past eleven o’clock A.M. (Mr. Hart in the Chair).
The Chair (Mr. Hart), members, guests and staff then recited the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
A report of the Norfolk County Registry of Deeds (under the provisions of Section 4 of Chapter 4 of the Acts of 2003 and section 2KKK of Chapter 29 of the General Laws) submitting its plan for expenditure from the County Registers Technological Fund (copies will be forwarded as required to the Senate Committees on Ways and Means and Post Audit and Oversight) (received in the Office of the Clerk of the Senate on January 9, 2013).
The following resolutions (having been filed with the Clerk) were severally considered forthwith and adopted, as follows:-
Resolutions (filed by Mr. Barrett) “celebrating the achievements of Karen Jeanne O'Donnell”; and
Resolutions (filed by Ms. Murray) “supporting the goals and ideals of observing the National Day of Human Trafficking Awareness on January 11, 2013.”
PAPER FROM THE HOUSE.
A message from His Excellency the Governor recommending legislation relative to pharmacy practice in the Commonwealth (House, No. 39),-- was referred, in concurrence, to the committee on Public Health.
